Memorial Day is a day marked by family barbeques, beer at the pool and sales at the malls.  For marketers, the day marks the beginning of the very important summer season that can make or break seasonal categories. Advertising leading up to the holiday is focused on big sales and discounts.   It is all very commercial and that is unfortunate.  

So I happily share here some TV ads from American Airlines that capture correctly what this day is about – our fallen veterans and those who actively serve in the US Military.   These are very well done and emotional. They integrate flying on American Airlines, but most importantly, the focus is on those who serve.  Please view them.  Nothing more to say….
